Essendon Vet Clinic's very important puss

One of Essendon Veterinary Clinic's many patients is rather different. Kumar is a 12 month old Sphinx cat and is the only one of his kind in the district. Apart from his unique appearance he is also very successful in the show ring. Only shown since June 2009, the young white and black male neutered Sphinx has collected three second prizes in a row from June to September 2009. The ultimate triumph came on November 22nd at Glen Huntly where he collected a Best Group 3 Desexed Cat in one of the rings and proceeded to clean out that ring by being first in everything he was entered.

Kumar in his short career as a show cat has never been out of the "top 10" and in 2010 we are sure will be a big year for him. Kumar was also invited to the CCCA International Show in May 2010 at the Melbourne Showgrounds. He will also be at the Royal Melbourne Show in September 2010. Kumar has already been entered in shows at Croydon and St Albans in 2010.

Kumar was bred by Victoria's leading Sphinx breeder Sharon Margreaves of Pearcedale. Kumar's mum, Nancy Blitz acknowledges the support by Essendon Veterinary Clinic as Kumar's "pit crew."

Kumar's current show status:
• Grand Premier Neuter
• 4 CCCA Award towards CCCA Champion (10 awards required)
• 6th in Cat of the Year 2009 (Victoria)
