Odin living on with one eye

Last month we had the pleasure of meeting a happy little chappy called Odin, a 5 month old Staffy x Labrador who had been surrended to our nurse Marisa who runs Second Chance Animal Rescue. Essendon Vet Clinic works closely with the rescue organisation to get the rescued animals' health up to par for rehoming.

Odin's right eye had never properly developed as a puppy. After thorough examination of his eye, it was decided the best course of action for long term comfort for Odin would be to remove the eye.

Dr Seina performed Odin's procedure (as well as his castration) and everything went remarkably well. Odin is in his recovery period with Marisa and he is doing very well. He is a tough little cookie! Thankfully, Second Chance Animal Rescue has found Odin his forever home. So once he is fully recovered he will start to enjoy his new life.

If you are interested in adopting a rescue animal, contact Second Chance Animal Rescue on 0421 418 448. They could make a lovely addition to many households. These animals are all health checked, desexed, microchipped and vaccinated prior to being rehomed.

Occasionally our clinic has kittens and cats for adoption. Give us a call at the clinic for more information.
