The Easter Bunny finds a new home

On Easter Sunday we had a very amused client come into the clinic with a gorgeous little white bunny she had found wandering the streets. (No doubt the bunny had just finished her rounds delivering all the easter eggs in the neighbourhood).

The rabbits' rescuer signed a stray release form and we took the rabbit in hoping to reunite her with her owners. We then checked our lost and found book to see if anyone had reported their pet rabbit missing but no matches were found. We also contacted the local councils and animal welfare agencies to see if they had any matches but unfortunately no bunnies had been reported missing at any of these places. Our contact details were left with everyone just in case someone still phoned up.

The rabbit stayed with us at the clinic for a whole week while she got very pampered by all the staff at the clinic. Everyday the staff brought in new pieces of fresh fruit and vegetables for the bunny to eat and she thanked us many times a day with her big cuddles and smooches.

Our vet, Dr Kylee Woods then found a very loving home for her through another vet that she knows.

Her new owners have just picked her up and they were all very excited to meet each other.
