Help for aged or disabled pet owners
Moonee Valley Council has a fantastic program called Petlinks that helps elders and people with disabilities, injuries or mobility problems who have difficulties caring for their pet alone. The Petlinks program is a free service, and local volunteers who have an interest in animals are paired with pet owners in the community who need help with looking after their pets.
Volunteers can help with dog walking, dog or cat grooming, and even assist you and your pet with travel to our clinic for veterinary appointments. The volunteers are police checked and the council organises a meet-and-greet where you can get to know your prospective volunteer over a cup of coffee.
To find our more about the Petlink program and how we can help you get started on it, contact our clinic on 9375 1039 and chat to one of our friendly veterinary nurses.
