Dr Stella Broderick
BVS, MVS (Small Animal Medicine and Surgery), AQIS (Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service) accredited
Stella graduated from Melbourne University in 2003. She entered small animal general practice and also worked for a few years in emergency practice. She completed a master’s degree in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Murdoch University in 2008. Soon after she had a two-year stint of world travel and UK locum work.
Stella enjoys the challenges of, and variation within, veterinary science. In 2013 she took on the Head Veterinarian role at Essendon Vet. Stella took time off in 2015 to grow her family and has been increasing her work with the group since, mostly at Carlton Veterinary Surgery. She is thrilled to be back permanently at Essendon Vet Clinic again.
Stella has two cats (Gus and Lily) and a dog (Harry). The two boy pets have given Stella first hand experience of owning and caring for pets with so many health conditions from atopic dermatitis, anxiety, heart failure, renal failure and cruciate disease.
In her spare time Stella keeps busy with pets, friends and family and is likely to be found socialising, bike riding, hiking or at the movies. She also enjoys travel, snowboarding, yoga and great food.
